Campaign Story

My name is Erin, I am married to the man of my dreams. We found each other a little later in life and knew that we wanted to grow our family. Two years ago I had an ectopic pregnancy that resulted in me having emergency surgery and losing a tube. It was one of the scariest days but felt optimistic because I was told “at least we know you can get pregnant.” We started trying as soon as we were able to and a year later we were still unsuccessful. We finally made our way to a fertility clinic and did 1 IUI but was unsuccessful. With us being a little older and only having 1 tube we decided to try IVF. We have done 1 retrieval and unfortunately only had 1 embryo out of the 12 eggs they retrieved. After 3 weeks we found out that it was not transferable. A month later and here we are trying to do another retrieval. With no insurance coverage on the treatments, visits or medicines and still not being able to bring a baby into this world it has become very stressful and discouraging. I never thought I would be where I am today, but I do know that my story will one day help others
